The Care Companion dashboard showing a daily greeting, the family circle and today's care sections

The dashboard you see when you sign in. Sample family — your own space starts empty and private.

Why this exists

Built by a carer who's lived it.

After my mum passed away, I took on full responsibility for my gran — the woman who brought me up — while pregnant, raising a young child, and working full time.

Her life was scattered across binders, notebooks and wall calendars. I was constantly afraid I'd miss something important. The Care Companion is the tool I wished existed then.

Built from lived experience, for families carrying the mental load of care.

When it actually helps

The moments you didn't see coming

"Mum's hospital appointment tomorrow."

A one-page summary — changes, medications, questions — in 30 seconds.

"Social worker needs financial information."

Lasting Power of Attorney, benefits, gifts and expenses — all in one place.

"Brother wants an update on Dad."

Invite him in on the Family plan. Same notes, same tasks — no more 10pm catch-ups.

Sample view — fictional family, not real data

A 20-second look inside

Built around the moments that matter

Walk into every GP appointment prepared

A one-page summary of what's changed, what you've tried, and the questions to ask — handed over in seconds.

Spot changes early, before a crisis

A two-minute daily log surfaces patterns in sleep, mood, appetite and falls weeks before they'd show up otherwise.

Find legal and finance details instantly

Lasting Power of Attorney, care plans, council letters, DNR, gifts and expenses — all in one place.

Keep siblings and family aligned

One shared picture of how they're really doing, so nobody is left chasing updates. Available on the Family plan.

Watercolour forget-me-not flowers, the symbol of dementia awareness

Forget me not

The forget-me-not is the symbol of dementia awareness — a reminder that the person is always more than the diagnosis. Every note, wish and memory you record here helps the people around them remember who they are.

Common questions

Do I need a dementia diagnosis to use it?+

No. Many families start before there is any diagnosis, while they are still noticing changes and gathering evidence for the first appointment. The daily log is designed for exactly that stage, and the one-page summary is often what gets a referral moving.

Can my siblings access the account?+

Family sharing is part of the Family plan, which gives up to four logins. On the individual plan you get one login. You can upgrade to the Family plan at any time and then invite up to three family members by email from your account.

Is payment information required for the trial?+

Yes. You add your payment details securely at sign-up, but you are not charged until your 7-day free trial ends. If you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing.

Where is my information stored?+

Your data is stored in the European Union (Amazon Web Services, Ireland) and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only people you explicitly invite can see what you write. There are no public profiles and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

Can I delete my account and data?+

Yes. You can delete your account from your settings at any time, and you can email hello@thecarecompanion.com to request deletion. Deleting your account removes your care records, notes and uploaded documents from the live database.

Is Sierra medical advice?+

No. Sierra is an AI assistant that offers general, evidence-informed information and practical suggestions for family carers. It is not a clinician, it cannot diagnose, and it must never replace your GP, a nurse line, or emergency services. Always contact a health professional about symptoms or medication.

Can I use it outside the UK?+

Yes. The app has a US version as well, with the right terminology, paperwork and support services for that country, and you can switch region at any time from the toggle in the header. Wherever you are, your data is stored in the EU.
